Official Rules for the SkinStore.com Blog Anniversary Giveaway Sweepstakes

PROMOTION BEGINS ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2010 AND ENDS ON OCTOBER 19, 2010. NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.  MAKING A PURCHASE DOES NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCE OF WINNING.

1.  Eligibility. The Skinstore.com Blog Anniversary Giveaway! Sweepstakes (hereafter “Sweepstakes”) is open to all legal residents of the 50 United States (except Florida and Rhode Island) and the District of Columbia who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Those not located within the United States are not eligible to participate or win a prize. In addition, the following individuals are not eligible to participate or win a prize: (a) employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives of Skinstore.com and their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, retailers, distributors, suppliers, advertising, and promotion agencies (“Excluded Individuals”); (b) the immediate family members (mother, father, sister, brother, child, husband, wife, and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) of Excluded Individuals; or (c) persons living in their same household as Excluded Individuals—whether or not they are related. Void where prohibited by law; all applicable federal, state, and local laws apply. If a winner is at least 18, but still considered a minor in his or her jurisdiction of residence, Skinstore.com reserves the right to award the prize to the winner’s parent or legal guardian who will be responsible for fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

2.  Promotion Period. Sweepstakes begins 10:00 a.m. Pacific Wednesday, September 22, 2010 and ends October 19, 2010 (hereafter, “Promotion Period”).

3.  How TO ENTER. There will be 4 drawings during the Promotion Period; one on each Tuesday morning for one (1) gift card per week. No purchase is necessary to enter. You may enter using one of two options:

(1) By the weekly deadline during the Promotion Period, answer the Sweepstakes Question posted on the blog by posting a valid entry.  Posting requires that you provide a first name and a valid email address. Limit one entry per person per drawing. Entries may not contain any material that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, invasive of privacy, obscene, fraudulent, or otherwise objectionable or injurious to Skinstore.com or any third parties. Valid entries will be determined in Skinstore.com’s sole discretion;

(2) Neatly hand-print your complete name, address, city, state, zip code, date of birth, telephone number, and e-mail address on a plain 3” x 5” piece of paper. Mail your completed 3” x 5” piece of paper in an envelope to: Skinstore.com Blog Anniversary Sweepstakes, Skinstore.com, 11344 Coloma Road, Suite 725, Gold River, CA 95670. All entries must be received no later than the deadline to be eligible for the weekly drawing. No photocopies or mechanically reproduced entries will be accepted. No responsibility is assumed for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, damaged, misdirected, or postage-due entries.

Each entry is only good for that particular week’s drawing. Limit one entry per person, per week. To be eligible for a particular week’s drawing, you must enter by 11:59:59 pm Pacific on the Tuesday before that Wednesday drawing. In particular, the weekly deadlines for each of the 4 drawings are:

(1) 11:59:59 pm Pacific, Tuesday, September 28, 2010 for the Wednesday, September 29, 2010 drawing;

(2) 11:59:59 pm Pacific, Tuesday, October 5, 2010 for the Wednesday, October 6, 2010 drawing;

(3) 11:59:59 pm Pacific, Tuesday, October 12, 2010 for the  Wednesday, October 13, 2010 drawing;

(4) 11:59:59 pm Pacific, Tuesday, October 19, 2010 for the Wednesday, October 20, 2010 drawing

4.  PRIZES. Skinstore.com will give away one (1) $100 Skinstore.com Gift Certificate (the “Prize”). The approximate retail value of each prize is $100. Any cost or expense associated with the acceptance or use of the prize not specified herein as being awarded, including, but not limited to, federal, state, or local taxes, are winner’s sole responsibility. Limit one Prize per household. All prize details are at the sole discretion of Skinstore.com. No transfer, assignment, cash redemption, or substitution of prize is permitted, except by Skinstore.com, who reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of comparable or greater value.

5. Estimated Odds of Winning. The odds of winning depend upon the total number of eligible entries received. All 4 Prizes will be awarded.

6.  How Winners Are Selected. Winners will be chosen in 4 weekly random drawing during the Promotion Period (drawings will occur each Wednesday during the Promotion Period) from among all eligible entries received by Skinstore.com. By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and to the decisions of Skinstore.com, which will be final and binding in all respects. Skinstore.com reserves the right (but is not obligated) to verify eligibility qualifications of the potential winner. Winners may be required to sign an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release. Skinstore.com reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void any entries of entrants in violation of these Official Rules or believed to have attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of this Sweepstakes.

7. HOW WINNER ARE NOTIFIED. Each winner of the drawing will be notified by e-mail and on the Skinstore.com blog, http://blog.skinstore.com/ (“Skinstore.com blog”) on or around the following times:

(1) 12:00 pm Pacific on Wednesday, September 29, 2010;

(2) 12:00 pm Pacific on Wednesday, October 6, 2010;

(3) 12:00 pm Pacific on Wednesday, October 13; 2010;

(4) 12:00 pm Pacific on Wednesday, October 20, 2010;

Non-compliance with these Official Rules, the inability to contact a potential winner within 7 days of attempted notification, or return of prize notification as non-deliverable, may result in disqualification of winner and—at the discretion of Skinstore.com—awarding of the prize to an alternate winner.

8.  WINNERS’ NAMES. For a complete list of the winners, send a self-addressed and stamped envelope after November 2, 2010 and before November 2, 2011 to: Skinstore.com Ratings & Reviews Sweepstakes, Attn: Sweepstakes Winners, 11344 Coloma Road, Suite 725, Gold River, CA 95670.

9. HOW SKINSTORE.COM USES ENTRIES. By entering, entrants agree: (1) that Skinstore.com will contact winners by e-mail or mail and will post the names of winners on the Skinstore.com blog; (2) that Skinstore.com may contact entrants in the future regarding Skinstore.com promotions or offers; (3) that Skinstore.com will not have any liability and will be held harmless by entrant for any claim, action, liability, loss, injury, or damage to entrant or any other person or entity, including, without limitation, personal injury or death to entrant or any other person or damage to personal or real property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use, misuse or nonuse of the prize; (4) that entrants waive all rights to claim from Skinstore.com any punitive, incidental, or consequential damages, attorneys’ fees, or any damages; (5) to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Skinstore.com, which are final and binding on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes; and (6) to waive any right to claim any ambiguity or error in these Official Rules or the Sweepstakes itself.

10. DISCLAIMER. Skinstore.com is not responsible for late, lost, stolen, damaged, illegible, incomplete, misdirected, delayed, garbled, inaccurate, postage due or undelivered mail, or for telephonic, human, or computer failures, interruptions in service due to system upgrades, repairs, modifications, or other causes, failures or malfunctions of connections, satellite, network, cable, Internet Service Provider (ISP), phones, phone lines or telephone systems, traffic congestion on the internet, technical or mechanical malfunctions, or other malfunctions or errors, whether caused by equipment, programming, human error or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors which may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries or mail or the announcement, delivery or use of the prizes, or for any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes, or for printing, typographical, computer, network, electronic, mechanical, human or other errors appearing in these Official Rules or other Sweepstakes-related materials.

Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the legitimate operation of this Sweepstakes is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Skinstore.com reserves the right to seek damages (including attorneys’ fees) and other remedies from any such person responsible for the attempt to the fullest extent permitted by law. Skinstore.com reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrants whom Sponsor believes have attempted to tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of this Sweepstakes or is in violation of these Official Rules and void all associated entries.

11. RIGHT TO CANCEL SWEEPSTAKES. If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of being run or implemented as planned (as determined by Skinstore.com in its sole discretion), including, but not limited to, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, computer viruses or bugs, or any other cause of any kind, which, in Skinstore.com’s sole judgment, any cause whatsoever is likely to or actually corrupts, impairs or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes (including, but not limited to, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other cause of any kind), then Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend all or any part of the Sweepstakes or to disqualify any implicated entrant and any associated entries.  In the event of cancellation or termination, Skinstore.com reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to pick the winner in a random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the event or action warranting such cancellation or termination. In the event this Sweepstakes is cancelled prior to the stated end date, a notice will be posted at the Skinstore.com blog.

12. UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES. The failure of Skinstore.com to comply with any provision of these Official Rules due to an act of God, hurricane, war, fire, riot, earthquake, terrorism, act of public enemies, action of governmental authorities, or any force majeure event or event outside the control of Skinstore.com will not be considered a breach of these Official Rules.
